Creating a new artistic experience set in Saga!
Saga Prefecture is an attractive region where rich nature, history, and vibrant culture coexist in harmony. SAGA ART WEEK 2025, an event that creates new artistic experiences, will be held for nine days from Saturday, February 8, 2025 in this region.
Event name: SAGA ART WEEK 2025
Event period: 9 days from February 8th (Sat) to February 16th (Sun) 2025
Location: Over 20 art spaces in Saga City, Saga Prefecture
Organized by: Saga University, Faculty of Art and Regional Design, SAGA ART WEEK Executive Committee
*Saga University Faculty of Art and Regional Design third-year core subject "Regional Creation Fieldwork" project

1. "Hand, Foot, Mouth" 2025/2/8~2/16
"Hands, Foot, Mouth" is an exhibition by performance artist Mineki Murata, Showhey Kato, and Endo Natsuka. He will be showcasing original art pieces based on the theme of physical sensations and performance.

2. “Every Person in Saga by PK From Shanghai” 2025/2/2~2/22
A special exhibition by Shanghai-based illustrator PK. His representative work "Every Person in Shanghai" has been adapted for Saga, depicting the city of Saga and the daily lives of its people.

3. “SAGA DESIGN AWARD 2025”
The SAGA DESIGN AWARD will begin in 2025. This award, which originated in Saga, is designed to discover and celebrate "design" that makes Saga more comfortable, and to make it widely known among the people of the prefecture. The award will feature an exhibition of winning works from a competition that recognizes design works with a Saga theme. A collection of works that suggest new possibilities for design will be on display. (Saga Airport, Saga Prefectural Art Museum)

⑤ New initiatives for SAGA ART WEEK 2025
Independent exhibition planning
Each gallery and art space will independently set a theme and develop a special exhibition that makes use of the region's characteristics and uniqueness. This is the first attempt of its kind this year, and it will enable a variety of art experiences.
Strengthening cooperation with restaurants
This year, a new donation initiative was started to gain the cooperation of local restaurants, allowing them to participate in creating excitement during Art Week and liven up the event for the entire region.
Introduction of stamp rallies
A new stamp rally will be held around galleries and art spaces in Saga City. This will provide an opportunity for visitors to enjoy multiple galleries and encourage them to explore the entire region. A system will be introduced where visitors can receive special rewards by collecting stamps, making the art tour even more enjoyable.
